Special event held for children of “Care Society”




Maldives Customs Service holds a special event for the children of Care Society. The event was held this Morning at Customs Building, which was participated by 23 children with special needs. Objective of this event was to provide a joyful environment for kids, including various activities such as coloring, face painting, Table Tennis, Clay table, Garlando and several other interactive activities.

This event was the part of a Customs Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to interact with children from various associations to increase their involvement in the society. Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Ismail Abdulla and Assistant Commissioner Mr. Ismail Nashid along with other Customs Executives joined and got along with the children and distributed special gift packs for the children from the Care Society.

Addressing the Children after the event, Chief Superintendent Mr. Abdulla Waheed acknowledged Care Society for accepting Customs invitation and added on the importance of spending time with Children who needs special attention.

From Care Society, Head Teacher Zaana Rafeeu stated that the efforts made by Customs Officers were noteworthy and that she expects more such opportunities with Customs.
