Customs Uniforms rebranded

In the Ceremony held on 20th August 2017 to mark the 127th Anniversary, the rebranded Customs uniforms were introduced by the Customs Minister, Minister of Home Affairs Azleen Ahmed.

The newly developed uniforms include following.

1. Official Uniform
2. Working Uniform
3. Ceremonial Uniform
4. Activity Uniform
5. Support Service Uniform

The newly introduced uniforms are designed taking into consideration the various types of work that are carried out in Customs. These designs will help Customs to expedite cargo and vessel clearance more efficiently. The new designs also include special uniform to junior and senior officers to attend various ceremonies.

During this Ceremony, the special plague was presented by the Vice President Abdulla Jihadh to 24 officers who have completed 20 years of service to the Organization.

Speaking at the Ceremony Minister of Home Affairs Azleen Ahmed commended the excellent professionalism and dedication by Customs officers in combatting drugs and towards facilitating the development projects of the country.

In the Ceremony a moment of silence was observed to remember late Major Ahmed Athif of the Maldives National Defense Force.

Also speaking in the Ceremony Commissioner General of Customs Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed congratulated Customs officers and their families on the occasion and urged staff to be vigilant on performing duty at the border. He also highlighted the achievements during the last year and stated that Customs would strive to move forward and achieve milestones in the coming year as well.

The anniversary function was concluded with a special performance presented by Customs Officers.
