Classification of goods in Maldives is done according to the Harmonized System, which is an international coding system, which ensures uniform classification. This multipurpose goods nomenclature was developed by World Customs Organization and forms a basis for Customs Tariff and Trade Statistics of more than 175 countries and economies.
