Maldives Customs Service in partnership with the Centre for Customs Excise Studies of Canberra University, Australia has commenced on 2nd August 2009 a 5-day course International Course on Management & Development in which 30 officers from Sri-Lankan Customs and 4 officers from Maldives Customs Service are participating. The facilitators of this course are Professor Mr. Mark Harrison and Mr. Uditha Liyanage.
The 4 MCS participants are: Chief Customs Officer Mr. Ahmed Abdulla, Chief Customs Officer Mr. Mohamed Adam, Chief Customs Officer Ms. Fathimath Abdul Rahman and Chief Customs Officer Ms. Aminath Uigath.
The inaugural ceremony of this course was held in Meerubahuru Maalan at 9am, officiated by Minister of State, Principal Collector of Customs, Mr. Mohamed Aswan. Many executives and senior staff attended the ceremony.
The aim of this course is to provide Customs Leadership-Skills, Strategies and Techniques, Integrity in Customs, ICT Management, Implementing a change Process and Human Resource Management.
