A General Meeting of CRC was held on 23 February 2009 at Meerubahuru Maalan to pass the Annual Report of 2008 and to elect new members for the two vacant posts of Hingaa Committee. The meeting was attended by 103 members. As per CRC regulations at least 100 members shall be present to pass any resolutions in a meeting.

The Annual Report of 2008 was presented b y Vice President Ahmed Rasheed and report was passed with majority of the attendees voting in favor of the report. As per the report total revenue for 2008 was Rf 321,352.76 and total expenditure was Rf 295,839.61 giving a net income of Rf 25,513.15. As at 31 December 2008 CRC had Rf 506,858.08 in the bank account.

In the meeting COG II Ali Waheed and SCOG II Zulaikha Abdhul Latheef were elected as the Administration Sectary and Literature Sectary respectively for the two posts vacant in the CRC Hingaa Committee.

Mr. Mohamed Aswan, President of CRC addressed the meeting. In his speech Mr. Aswan highlighted the importance of CRC in an enforcement organization like Customs and appealed all members to work towards achieving a better future for the club. He also noted the achievements of the CRC in the past and advice members to contribute more towards the club.
